| i recently started reading my previous xanga entries because i was bored one night, and it hit me that this was a great time capsule. i don't think i would have remembered some of these random memories or strange insights into life if i didn't post it! i was great at posting frequently, but then it slowed down, then stopped completely...haha. i've decided to start doing this again, except i've switched over to blogger. why? to be truthful, it's simply for the cleaner aesthetics! shallow, i know. but there are no advertisements or crazy links everywhere. anyway, if anyone out there is still interested, my new blog site's addy is
iceverg.blogspot.com.
maybe, i'll post here on xanga at first to show that i've updated the blogger, kind of like a transition thing, for all two of you that read my posts. and those two people include myself, haha.
hope i still have something interesting to say!

| it's been a long time since an update, and to the two people who may read this, I apologize. haha. anyways, too lazy to type too much today but as a movie buff, i will give you a list of movies i just saw and want to see, as well as movies that haven't come out that i'm looking forward to =)
movie i just watched: The Talented Mr. Ripley - Hard to beleive this came out almost a decade ago. It's great movie with a star studded cast including Matt Damon, Jude Law, Gwenyth Paltrow, Kate Blanchette and Philip Seamor Hoffman (I probably misspelled a bunch of their names, but you know who I'm talking about). The first time I watched this movie was waaaaaaaaaay long ago, and thanks to tv links, I was able to watch for the second time. Matt Damon is straight creepy in this movie, and the story is well written. I definate watch!
movie i still need to watch: Paris, Je T'aime - released earlier in this year, this is a compilation of short stories from 18 different directors ranging from the Coen brothers to Wes Craven, all set in different part ofParis, with different characters in each story. Sounds extremely interesting and probably the movie I most need to watch. Everything Is Illuminated - i know Elijah Wood is in it, and i think it's about him searching for his family history? Not quite sure but I've heard good things about it.
move i'm looking forward to watch: The Darjeeling Limited - Starring Owen Wilson, Adrian Brody, and Jason Schwartzman, this is a tale about the bonding of three brothers. It looks like a dramedy (drama + comedy), along the same lines of The Royal Tenenbaums. Rushmore, and other movies of that type. It's almost from Fox Searchlight which has released some classic movies. Rocket Science - A comedy about a teenage boy coming of age, tackling such issues as girls, dissapointments in life, and public speaking. Looks to be a good one =)
P.S. the title of the entry is from a television show. name what show and who said, and i'll give you a delicious fortune cookie

| I've finally uploaded some of the random pics that I've taken with my phone. FUN! FUN! FUN! However, I'm not going to post them all at once. A little something everyday maybe? Don't let the anticipation kill you, it ain't that cool, haha.
Item 3 consisted of the ever delicious combo of "Spicy Shrimp and Crap." Is that Alaskan King Crap?
Two things that never get old: 1) flatulence and 2) positioning yourself next to a fountain to make it look like you're pee'ing. WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!
Straight from "The Little Mermaid," in edible portions of course.
Alright, enough for now. More later this week!
Note: after adding the word of the day, I read the example they gave and look who it's written by...william s. McFeely. McFeely?!? A potential character on Grey's Anatomy next season perhaps? Oh, dear, living with girls has had its effects, haha.

| It's been one week since my roommates and I came back from Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, and I still haven't gotten back into the groove of regular life in killa Cali. A couple observations while in PV...
1) although we were in Mexico, we couldn't find a taco stand anywhere 2) we did however, see starbucks, a hooters, even an outback steakhouse 3) street sellers liked to offer me bud more that anyone else on our trip (is it my care free hair?) 4) don't really need to convert your american dollars to pesos while you're there, unless you want to do some bargaining in which those pesos come in handy 5) whether surrounded by jelly fish, riding a noncompliant horse, or gettinng a little sea sick, the locals' advice is always "don't worry, just stay still" 6) everyone is pretty nice in PV 7) tequlia is made locally, and it's some of the smoothest i've ever had
With the fat ass travel deal we got, the trip was definately worth the price. It was also a chance to meet a bunch of a other random folks from the u.s., canada, and mexico. I suggest you all look up all inclusive trips to Puerto Vallarta. For the amount you probably spend going to vegas, you can be chillin' on the beach with an open bar right behind you.

A few photo comments... - (top left corner) although the juices in the first picture look delicious, none of actually drank it due to our uncertainty of water purity, haha - (second picture) along the beach, there are many interesting and intriguing sculptures, a few of them being interactive with the viewer. you can climb this bad boy!!! - (pictures with the lion) soooo, what's protecting the innocent zoo visitor from the king of the jungle? the king of jungle that can tear our limbs off as easily as we bite into KFC? two soft ball fences. and that's about it. - (tiger cub pictures) all it take's is five bucks to play with these endangered animals. so fun and so wrong at the same time. damn, aren't they cute though? - (second to last picture) it's my emo shot with that corn on a cob...on a stick. The balloon adds a great touch. I wish there was a sad clown holding it though...
